Are we there yet?

Ethan swears that parents make up the story of kids asking "are we there yet?" over and over during a trip. Until Evan asked about 9 times during the car ride to Kings Dominion yesterday...and that trip is only an hour and a half (tops) and he was plugged into a movie the entire time. I think that's why he kept asking...when he has headphones on, he can't hear us talking to him and probably didn't realize we had even answered :-) Eric, on the other hand, entertained us with some light reading "apple...banana...cheese..milk" before passing out for a little nap. He loves his food book; takes it to bed with him every night and reads through it in his crib when he wakes up in the morning.

Almost as 'cute' as Evan repeatedly asking if we were there yet was Ethan asking me to Google map Kings Dominion. As though we can miss the giant Eiffel Tower that can be seen from I-95. Or in case we missed the 15 signs telling us what exit it's at (98)? All I wanted to do was play one little game of Collapse!!

  1. OK, that is funny. We had similar "cute" conversations about Google Maps this weekend!

  2. I don't think it matters whether you are a kid, or a parent someone always has to ask "Are we there yet?" That was Chuck's phrase of the morning about twenty times plus "Which way do I go?" After I said "Take 95 south until we see Kings Dominion!"
