Happy New Year & Blog 365

2008 already...I started thinking of how I have celebrated past New Years and it's brought back some good memories. When I was growing up and living with my mom, we watched the fireworks at the Inner Harbor from the roof of our house. 2000 was a last minute decision to go see the fireworks in Annapolis after being assured I wasn't going to be called into work at midnight. 2001 and 2002 were spent at some ridiculously priced bar/club but with lots of good food/drinks/friends. Obviously things have gone a little more low key since the kids have been around, but we've still always managed to ring in the new year with at least a few friends. This year it was just Ethan and I, with the boys tucked into bed at their normal bedtimes and the promise of being able to watch the ball drop in the morning (thank you Tivo!). It was nice though, and a much needed break after all the Christmas craziness and celebration.

I've decided to the give the Blog 365 challenge a try, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully there should be something new to read every day (except 02/29), although no promises on it being funny, good, or even remotely interesting ;-) I need some sort of theme to keep me inspired...hmm...

  1. A theme for the whole year? That is ambitious.

My theme is going to be the daily boringness of my life :)

Sounds like a very nice evening!

  2. GOOD LUCK...I'm not even attempting it! I know I'll be away this summer with NO internet...crazy, right?

  3. I'm thinking I need to think of a theme for days of the week. Like, "TMI Fridays!" or something.

But sadly, every day is TMI day with me.

    Good luck!
